I received my first payment from Adsense via Western Union today. It was fanta-bulously easy and quick! In fact it’s soooo quick that my payment for October is already in my hands and I still haven’t received September’s payment, which came by check :

My last Adsense check which has yet to be banked into my account
Okay… I know I’m a bit slow. This is probably the third payment that Adsense has released to Malaysians via Western Union. I waited for others to be the guinea pigs before changing my own payment option - mostly because I’m in no hurry to get the cash. All my online income is channelled into savings and investment, so it’s not critical that I get my payments immediately. But now that I’ve done it, I highly recommend you change your payment option to Western Union Quick Cash for the following reasons :
How do you know when your Adsense payment is available for withdrawal?
When you log into you Adsense account, you should see a “View Payment History” link that will take you to your payment details page. If you see a “Payment Issued” statement, that means your payment has is ready for withdrawal (if you have opted to receive your payment via Western Union).

Clicking on the “details” link will take you to the details of your payment. This page contains important information that you will need when you fill in the Western Union form to receive money, the most important being the Money Transfer Control Number.

Where to withdraw your Adsense payment via Western Union?
Most banks in Malaysia provide Western Union services. Some banks only offer this service at selected branches. The 2 that I know of that offer Western Union services at all their branches are RHB Bank and CIMB Bank.
How to withdraw your payment via Western Union at CIMB Bank
Fill in the Western Union form to receive money from CIMB Bank. There are 2 types of forms. The Yellow one is for receiving money. The Green one is for sending money. Here’s a tip so you don’t make a silly mistake like me. The Western Union forms are carbon copy forms - one copy for the bank and one copy for you. The one I took from the counter only had 1 sheet (I assume it was messed up). NO problems though, because CIMB’s staff are really helpful. The form is straightforward.

The branch I went to had a specific counter for Western Union services. Me thinks that’s the same for any CIMB branch, which is great because you don’t have to wait very long. You need to provide ID (any form of identification with your picture) as verification that you are who you say you are. Your ID must bear the same name as the one in your Adsense Payment details page.
It took approximately 10 minutes to get my money. Easy Peasy and I left with this :

I love making money online!

Hi there i am interested in making money online .Can you guide me on this matter
is there any other money making program that allows Western Union payment aside from Adsense..
I don’t have paypal account and I don’t think I am going to purchase one..
thanks for your help..
hi ghing… unless I’m mistaken or paypal has ammended its terms of service, it’s FREE to set up a personal PayPal account. Once you have an account, you can accept payments via PayPal. You can withdraw your PayPal funds to a local (I’m assuming you are Malaysian) Visa Debit Card. Each time you withdraw from your PayPal account to your debit card, you will be charged USD5. I think this fee is very reasonable.
I’d like to suggest that you contact PayPal if you have reservations about signing up. You would seriously be limiting yourself if you choose to only go with online money making programs that pay via Western Union. In fact, PayPal is so convenient that I have been pestering Adsense to consider PayPal as a payment option.
Cheers!
great insights andrew, i think somebody did wrote an ebook about paypal withdrawal..malaysianpal i think.
but the WU sounds and looks easy..
Hi there,
Could you tell me exactly where as mentioned by you here:
2. You get your payment the day after the status in your Adsense account changes to “Payment Issued”.
I can’t seem to find the payment status.
Thanks
Hi Joshua… you can only see the “View Payment History” link on the Overview page of your account (the main page after you log in). The link is below the “Today’s earnings” title.
When you click on the “View Payment History” link, you will be taken to “Earnings and payments summary” page.
When you see a “Payment In Progress” status, that means they are finalizing your payment. This status will stay for anywhere from 3 - 5 days (last month’s was pretty long … about 8 days I think) before it changes to “Payment Issued”.
When you see the “Payment Issued” status, it means that payment has been released. Technically, as soon as you see the “Payment Issued” status, you can go to your nearest Western Union office or bank and withdraw your earnings. However, I personally withdraw a day or two after because I’m usually busy and I have this nagging doubt that things will always go wrong when I am hasty.
Hope that helps Joshua.
Hello i will like u to send me the full details of money tranfer western union or full details of master card hope to hear from soon ok…

vivian, if you mean the process of withdrawing your Adsense earnings via WU, then the post is self explanatory.
Hi Andrew, i wonder your 500usd++ Google check just from this website ? Or you have other autopilot adsense websites?
I start build my site from 2008 September till now, my google acc just have 1.29usd >.
I have 2 sites running Adsense. One of them does very much better than the other. I am also a contributor to WorldVillage blog (they offer 50/50 split for Adsense earnings) which brings in a little.
In my first year, my Adsense earnings was a total of USD24.65. Not a lot. Your earnings depends very much on many, many factors. I explain a little in this post :
http://www.homewithandrew.com/index.php/optimize-adsense-earnings-by-reducing-ad-impressions/
Making money with Adsense is not as easy as people think. Just like any other business, there are ups and downs. For example, many publishers are noticing that since March, Adsense payouts have been on the decline. This includes me. However, it is still the most stable and best hands-off monetization method for my sites.
Hi Andrew, thanks for the reply.
In your optimize adsense post you talk about black hat tactic. I read VincenTan and Gobala Krishnan blackhat inteview report i found out about, create 500 acc at delicious and bookmark each page once is every single acc.
That will get ranked in search engine very quickly. Will that method will cause my site penalize?
Another question >.
What you’ve done is a recognized method for gaining backlinks. I cannot say whether it is a “black hat” method because if it becomes a problem with Google, then they can easily penalize all sites that practice this and categorize it as “black hat”. I always caution folks to NOT underestimate how “smart” Google is.
For example, about a year or two ago, Google suddenly came down hard on webmasters who bought and sold text links (especially from a specific company). Those that were involved in (what Google perceived as) unfair text link buying and selling had their PR reduced or wiped out. As far as web publishers were concerned, this was a totally legitimate method of gaining backlinks, but Google said NO.
The bottom line is this - you MAY be smarter than Google, you MAY be more savvy than Google, but all Google has to do is pull a plug and your site joins one of millions in the Google graveyard. I like the money Google brings… so I ALWAYS err on the side of caution.
I create my site since September till now. Mostly how long will took my site pagerank up? i doing link exchange, bookmark all my page to famous bookmark sites. keyword SEO, even spend 23.1usd bought 1000 visitor to my affiliate page!!!
Hi Adlas…
The REAL PR is acually updated constantly - based on a complex algorithm - by Google. The PR that you see (the green bar) is basically a “snapshot” of the REAL PR at a given time. Usually, this snapshot is updated at an internval of 3 months. When this happens you will be able to see your PR bar either move up or down.
There are basically 2 schools of thought about link exchange pages. Most agree that link exchange pages are ignored by Google because they negate each other and is recognized as a method to “game” the system.
There is another group that believes “careful and selective” reciprocal link building actually helps.
You can read a good thread in WebmasterWorld forum on link exchanges here :
http://www.webmasterworld.com/link_development/3423071.htm
For me personally, I have deleted ALL my link exchange pages. I just don’t want the bother of having to worry whether they are cosidered “acceptable” by Google or not. It also make my life a heck of a lot easier!
Hi andrew
Today i check my adsense acc, 60 page impression and 2 click. 2.47usd for the 2 click. I dunno is adsense glitch or super bonus for me. Impossible to get 2 click for 2.47usd?
sorry for the stupid question >.
No…probably not a glitch. Every Adsenser will have their own tale of “the BIG one”. My biggest click was about … xx.xx (hehe I’m not telling). Please bear in mind that I do not use Adwords so what I write below is based on my personal understanding.
Unusually big clicks can happen because of :
- normal supply and demand. Advertisers getting into a sort of bidding war for the top spot. Advertisers’ budgets always fluctuate.
- sudden demand for a niche, for example Michael Jackson releases a new video that features himself wearing a pink bikini. Who would have thought that ads for pink bikinis would cost a lot right (?) but because of MJ, top spot for ads on pink bikinis shoot up to USD 10, of which you (technically) get USD 5. This surge in demand may only last for a limited time before it goes back to its regular value.
- we like to joke that new ad managers are a good source of big clicks because they are unfamiliar with the Adwords system and make mistakes in their ad campaigns - like stating the wrong currency and misplacing the decimal point. We ALL love these ad managers, but they NEVER make the same mistake twice becuase they probably get fired after that first mistake… LOL!
So don’t worry about your 2 big clicks. Enjoy them!
Hi andrew,
i just spy on my site visitor stat and find out once of my visitor trying to access action=edit&post=331. Did this mean he trying to hack my site?
He use dynamic IP adress 82.99.30.63, 82.99.30.40, 82.99.30.32. Impossible to ban him?
sorry for the question not relate to your topic.
1. Make sure it’s not YOURSELF or someone else you have authorised to manage your site! If you’re using a webhost, you are always assigned a dynamic IP.
2. If you’re sure it’s not you, inform your webhost. Give them all the details. It is THEIR job to protect your site.
3. If confirmed that he was trying to hack, then ensure your webhost takes the necessary security precautions. Banning him might make him more determined to hack your site. Consider your options carefully after talking to your webhost.
will adsense ban after displaying payment in progress line . tell me sir i got pip 3 days ago
PIP can take anywhere from 2 to 7 days. There was one time when my PIP was stuck and it turned out that there was a technical problem that affected a number of Asian publishers.
Don’t worry if your PIP stays for anywhere up to a week. Anything more than 10 days, contact Google.
To the best of my knowledge, IF you are banned, the first thing you will receive is an email from Google. Depending on the circumstances, it may be a :
- warning or
- a request to ammend content that has been found to be going against their TOS
- straightforward ban.
In the event that you are banned, Adsense may continue to appear a few days after the notification email is sent. I understand that all payments owed to the publisher will be released after Google does the necessary processing. Thereafter, you may not apply to participate in the Adsense program. Again, my understanding is that the ban applies to the publisher and is NOT only to specific sites. ALL sites will be included in the ban.
That’s why I always tell people - Adsense can be a really nice long term revenue stream. YOU MUST read and understand the TOS. If in doubt, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, err on the side of caution.
I hope I haven’t given you anything to worry about with my reply. If you’re just concerned about the duration of the PIP status, then DON’T worry UNLESS the PIP stays stuck for more than 10 days.
wow that’s a lot of cash.. congratulations.
That was during the good times. The financial crisis is taking a good whack at publishers’ earnings these days.
I am thinking to check the status of the transfer that the Google Adsense made but I can’t figure out what names should I use in Sender First Name field and Sender Last Name
I tried the Google Inc but i am getting an error message lol. just excited to see it because it’s my first time to receive monies from Adsense. hehhe.
I am going to Western Union agent tomorrow, anyway.
Great… Laarni! It’s a great feeling to get that first Adsense payment. Remember to follow the TOS closely. Adsense is a too good an income earner to get banned because of silly mistakes with your site!
i have 1 doubt sir.suppose a person gets his check on feb 5 and deposits it in the bank for collection the very next day and its in the process of collection which normally tales about 1 month and if adsense bans him before the check is cleared ,will he be able to get the money from that check which is in the bank for collection . more thanks in advance
From what I know, once Adsense releases a payment (electronic or check). they will honor that payment. I’ve read if publishers are banned, there will be a delay in payment IF their earnings have not been finalized - ie NOT issued yet. Again, my suggestion is simply to abide by the TOS very closely to avoid any complications.
thanks a lot for clearing my doubt about adsense clearing the checks. but i cant understand your statement IF PUBLISHERS ARE BANNED THERE WILL BE A DELAY IN PAYMENT if their earnings have not been finalised ie not yet issued.
whats my doubt is adsense is going to pay only for the check it has sent and what else is still remaining to be finalised ? i am a newbie in adsense sir .
i ve read from TOS that if you are banned and even if you have any outstanding checks dont try to cash them in the bank as you will be fined for trying to cash a check for which payment will not be done .so only i asked sir what will be the case if HE IS BANNED MANY DAYS AFTER THE CHECK HAS BEEN DEPOSITED IN THE BANK FOR COLLECTION.kindly clarify this doubt sir . I OBEY YOUR SUGGESTION TO FOLLOW THE TOS SIR.but this is just my doubt sir..thanks.
