I received this email from Kontera informing that they are now offering payment via Paypal. I did a quick check in their FAQs and found that they havent't made any changes. So I shot off an email to their support asking for confirmation of this and where it is mentioned on their website.
Following hot on the heels of Paypal allowing Malaysians to withdraw funds to our credit cards, then Adsense offering payment via Western Union, if this bit of news if confirmed, then it will be heavenly for us! Imagine not having to wait for checks to arrive and then a longer wait for them to be cleared. Worse still if you have the unfortunate experience of having your Kontera check sent around the world!

I believe that this email is authentic because the publisher information contained within it can only be known by Kontera, but like I said before, Kontera seems to be very primitive in many ways. I will post a confirmation when I receive an official reply from Kontera. Now... if they would only work on giving publishers a decent control panel that REALLY lets us control things instead of having to email them for the simplest of matters.
So let's say bye-bye to long waits for paper checks and hello to instant (well... almost) money! I looooove making money online!

pls tell me whether kontera issues payment by paypal in india? what are the charges of paypal for receiving payments from kontera and text link ads? my expected receiving amount is dollar 150 after 6 months. regards.
Is the payout for paypal is different than the payout through check?
Payment via Paypal is definitely easier. It just takes a day or two for them to pay you and depending on where you are, up to 4 days to withdraw the money to your Visa or Debit Card. If you opt for the check payment, (again depending on where you are), it can take up to 2 months to finally receive payment :
- First the check has to travel from the US to wherever you are.
- Then you have to fill in the deposit slip and bank it in.
- Depending on the bank and their system, it will have to wait up to a month for the check to be cleared.
- Only then can they release the payment to your account.
I believe there is no charge for payment via paypal except the $5 withdrawal fee. With checks, you may have to pay a fee to your local bank and then there is another fee for the US bank which can total $10 or more.

Thanks for your answer, Currenlty I am using adsense only. If I ever decide to use kontera, I shall definately try to use paypal as payment option.
I also read story about your check. But this does not haapen all the time with every one.
